Booking terms & conditions

These terms and conditions shall apply to accommodation reservations made by individuals, unless a special agreement has been drawn up and the terms and conditions of the product to be booked do not mention otherwise. These terms and conditions apply only to accommodation bookings made through the Hotel Maakunta website. The hotel has the right to use special terms and conditions that differ from these terms and conditions if the introduction of special terms and conditions can be justified due to public holidays, special events, seasonal variations or ancillary services to the accommodation.

Booking and confirmation

When making a reservation the customer must report their name, contact details, time of arrival and departure and method of payment. The reservation is binding to the hotel once it has been confirmed orally, in writing or, for example by e-mail and once the reservation number has been provided. As a confirmation for the reservation, the hotel may set different rules, the payment of the booking fee or the confirmation of the payment with an advance payment as a requirement of validity.

Arrival and departure

The room is available at 3 pm on the day of arrival and must be handed over by 12 noon on the day of departure. Arrival after 6 pm must always be requested and booked in advance. Customers are asked to call the hotel half an hour before arrival tel: +358 40 417 4001.

Cancellation and no-show

If nothing else has been agreed at the time of booking or there are no other terms and conditions attached to the price or time of booking of your choice, the free of  charge cancellation must be made no later than 6 pm on the day before the arrival date. The hotel is entitled to charge the price of the first day of accomodation with taxes. as well as any additional services related to the reservation, as compensation if the customer does not arrive as agreed.

Reservations paid in advance can not be changed or cancelled through the Hotel Maakunta website reservation system. In case of cancellation or chances please contact the hotel: Tel: +358 40 417 4001 or info@hotelmaakunta.fi.

As an exception to the reservation terms, a reservation can be cancelled without charge and any payments made in advance can be refunded if the reason for the cancellation is the serious illness of the customer or a person close to them, a serious accident, a death or other unexpected and serious event . However the hotel is entitled to deduct  30 euros from the refunded amount for the cost of processing the reservation.

Departure before the agreed time

Departure earlier than agreed must be reported to the hotel no later than 6 pm on the day before departure date. The price agreed for the reservation may be charged for the time that is not used. Early departure may also change the price of the accommodation.

Payments

All hotels accept the most common payment cards. However the hotel is not obliged to accept foreign currency, coupons or cheques if the hotel itself has not offered to do so. As an advance payment, a reservation fee determined by the hotel can be charged, which is deducted from the final bill. If the room has not been paid for in advance, the hotel room must be paid for in cash or by payment card upon arrival at the hotel.

Costumer conduct at the hotel

At the hotel, we follow good manners and regulations. If these rules are violated, the customer can be removed from the hotel immediately. In this case, pre-ordered and confirmed services have to be paid for.

Your belongings

You are personally responsible for your luggage and other belongings. Similarly, the hotel is not responsible for any damage to or disappearance of vehicles parked in the hotel car park, or items left inside the vehicle.

Customer's liability for damages

The customer is liable for any damage caused intentionally or through negligence (such as smoking in the room) caused by the customer himself or their guests or pets to the room or other premises of the hotel, furniture or equipment there, and to other hotel guests or their property. Liability for damages is determined by the general principles of compensation for damages.
